About Ruth Stromswold
The classic beauty of Dutch and Flemmish paintings has always motivated me to achieve a similar style in my own work. The glowing light of an interior by Vermeer and the mystery of Rembrandts portraits never fails to move me along my own creative path. I strive to emulate the masters in my work and find that with each new painting, I learn more about my own style as well as theirs.
